WHY TWO (2) SAJDAH IN NAMAZ

It seems like that, the numbers of sajdah appear in the books of fiqh that first sajdah is proven from the Quran and the second sajdah founded from Ijma. Iblees had opposed the command of the Almighty Allah aloud and said

“I am better than Adam You have created me from fire and created him from sand.”

Fire is better than sand as always. How can I make sajdah to him! Thus Iblees had attempted to represent evidence in order to decline to accept the command of Allah. This is kufr (Disbelief). That is why it was said:

“Iblees was the very first person to use analogy against the command of Allah.”

The evidence is recognized in sharia’s in order to assist law and apply it to another situation. Iblees had presented evidence to decline the command of Allah. That is why it is kufr.

In that situation when Allah ordered angles and Iblees to make sajdah in front of Adam. Angels laid down to do Sajdah. After some time they pick up their head from down. They saw that Iblees has not made the Sajdah Yet. So, angles were returned to sajdah again. Angels though that the sajdah was not completed yet. So, they get back to sajdah again.

Now as reference came out about the breakings of two sajdah. Then angels have divided the sajdah into two parts.

  1. Sajdah-E-Hakum

  2. Sajdah-E-Fri

This is why when every Muslim perform salat. They perform two sajdah in every rakat of the salat. This is why Allah put a great importance to Sajdah In Islam.
